This collage has been created from an acrylic painting on paper done while on an art course in Italy.
One course visit was to a mountain village called Fornovolasco and rather than doing the intended painting exercise I spent the time exploring the place sketching & taking photos.
I made the painting back at the course studio using my sketches of the village fountain.
It was framed & displayed at home but after a few years was stored along with other no longer loved artworks until it got rediscovered & cut up 16 years later!
My tutor had been disappointed that I didn't engage with the days learning as he had planned, but my time spent at Fornovolasco has inspired a number of artworks and this is the latest.
