Aflame
This is an inked up collagraph plate that started life as an artwork on mountboard made at an abstract painting course.
When I got it home from the course it looked as there may be potential for printing with it so gave it a go and pulled a couple of prints but they didn’t work as I had hoped.
However I really liked the colours left on the plate so applied a thin layer of pale grey ink with a roller to enhance them and left it to dry for several weeks before framing it.
Happily I wasn't the only person it appealed to as it sold at an open studios event.
